Overview

Cladding & Façade Cleaning by Prestige FM.

Cladding dulls quickly under traffic film, carbon, algae and bird fouling, and a tired façade undermines the brand inside. We clean composite, aluminium, steel, powder-coated and uPVC cladding, curtain walling, canopies, fascias and signage using low-pressure softwash methods and products suited to each finish.

High-pressure jetting can strip coatings, force water behind panels and void manufacturer warranties, so we use soft brushes, pure water and controlled chemistry instead. Higher elevations are reached from our own cherry pickers (MEWPs), operated by IPAF-trained staff, or from mobile towers erected by PASMA-trained operatives, all planned under the Work at Height Regulations.

Will cleaning damage our cladding?

Not with the right method. We use low pressure, soft brushes and products matched to the finish, following the panel manufacturer’s guidance where it is available.

How often should commercial cladding be cleaned?

Most manufacturers recommend at least an annual clean, and more often in coastal, industrial or high-traffic locations. Regular cleaning also helps keep coating warranties valid.

Can you clean high-rise façades?

Yes. We own our cherry pickers, operated by IPAF-trained staff, and use mobile towers erected by PASMA-trained operatives. Very tall or complex façades can be reached by specialist rope access partners. Every job has a site-specific risk assessment and method statement.
