Petrol Forecourt Cleaning by Prestige FM.

Drivers judge a petrol station from the road. Fuel spills, oil staining, tyre marks, dirty canopies and grimy pumps make a site look neglected, and slippery forecourts are a safety risk for customers and staff. We clean the whole site: forecourt surface, pump islands, canopy, fascias, shop front and the areas around it.

Every operative on forecourt work holds the SPA (Safety Pass Alliance) Petrol Retail Contractors Safety Passport, the standard that oil companies and fuel retailers require before contractors can work on their sites. We work to your permit-to-work and site rules, set up exclusion zones around live pumps, and control wash water so fuel-contaminated run-off doesn’t reach surface water drains.

Work is usually done at night or in quiet periods so the site stays open, and our own cherry pickers with IPAF-trained operators reach canopies and high-level signage without scaffold.

What is the SPA passport?
The SPA Petrol Retail Contractors Safety Passport is the industry safety qualification for contractors working on fuel forecourts, developed by the Safety Pass Alliance with UKPIA. Oil companies and many fuel retailers require it before contractors can work on their sites. All our forecourt operatives hold it.
Can you clean while the forecourt is open?
Yes. We usually work at night or in quiet periods, cone off sections and clean pump islands in rotation, so the site keeps trading.
How do you deal with fuel-contaminated water?
We control wash water so it doesn’t enter surface water drains, and work with the site’s drainage arrangements so run-off is contained and handled properly.
Can you clean canopies and high-level signage?
Yes. We use our own cherry pickers, operated by IPAF-trained staff, to clean canopy fascias, soffits, lighting and price signs.
How often should a forecourt be cleaned?
Busy sites benefit from monthly forecourt and pump island cleans, with canopies and fascias cleaned quarterly or twice a year. We build a schedule around your traffic and brand standards.
